🕷 Vorath, The Black Flame
📜 Title: The Deceiver, Lord of Ash and Shadow, Soulbreaker
🏛 Allegiance: To Dominion, Chaos, and the Fracture of the Sacred Balance
🔮 Abilities: Corruption of Spirit, Voice of Temptation, Shaper of Nightmares
🗡 Role in the Story: Vorath is the dark undercurrent moving through the ages of Aldarion—the ancient force of lies, ruin, and despair. Where Elyon calls the broken to rise, Vorath whispers to the wounded that they were never loved. His power is not only brute force but seductive cunning. He does not always roar; often he waits, disguised in beauty, flattery, or false promise. To face Vorath is to confront every lie one has ever believed about their unworthiness.
📖 Background: Born in the earliest breath of time, Vorath was once a being of splendor—said by the oldest scrolls to be Elyon's greatest creation, a bearer of light whose voice once sang in harmony with the stars. But pride took root. Vorath desired not to serve, but to rule; not to illuminate, but to consume. When Elyon refused to share his essence of creation, Vorath rebelled. Cast down, he did not vanish—but fell like a black star into the depths of the world, and from that pit he began to weave his designs.
He is not bound by form but often appears as what the heart most desires—or most fears. A whisper in the Well. A shadow in a child’s dream. A promise to the angry. A voice to the despairing.
His followers—those who give in to bitterness, cruelty, and control—often rise in power quickly, but always at the cost of their soul’s light. He seeks not only to rule Aldarion but to break it, soul by soul, until the very memory of Elyon fades like mist.
