š” Role in the Story: Familiar and guardian to Mohrvanna; vessel for a demon lord from the Second Hell
š Background: Velkira was not bornāshe was created. Once a starving panther cub, lost and trembling in the forest near Coyāeraās Holler, she was lured in by kindness, nurtured by dark hands, and then offered as the vessel for an ancient demon. But the ritual that tore open the veil required more than bloodāit demanded will. And so Syris, Mohrvannaās mother, gave her life to bind the demon within the beast. The sacrifice was perfect. The tear in the veil held.
The creature that rose from the altar was no longer a cub. Velkira was a fusionāferal grace entwined with ancient malevolence. Her eyes shimmer with unnatural intelligence, her breath curls in frost, and her muscles ripple with lethal tension. Where her paws fall, shadow deepens. Her growl silences birds. Her presence curdles the air.
Yet, she does not wander. She is boundāutterly and completelyāto Mohrvanna. Not through affection. Not through obedience. But through oathĀ and covenant. His voice calls her from across realms. His pain rouses her bloodlust. She is not a pet. She is not a servant. She is his shadow, his sentinel, his tether to the abyss.
Velkira is a paradox. She stalks like an animal, but her mind is cunning, calculating. She waits in silence for hours, eyes narrowed like a specter at the edge of sleep, but when unleashed, she becomes terror incarnateāripping through flesh, tearing through spell, dragging the very scent of hell behind her.
Some say she does not sleep. Some say she listens when no one speaks. Some say she remembers the gods⦠and hates them all.
